Open House Perth Foundation Ambassador - Mark Gibson
How would you like to spend a weekend peeking inside some of WA’s most significant buildings?
How about pinching ideas from other people’s spectacular, award winning homes?
Open House Perth is a dream event for everyone from architecture and history buffs to plain old sticky beaks.
Now in its fifth year, Open House Perth just keeps getting better, with around 90 incredible destinations for you to explore, free of charge.
This year, the number of homes and apartments has grown too. The Beach Box in Cottesloe and Officer Wood's Boulevarde House are two great looking homes which I am looking forward to getting to see.
I also can’t wait to check out some of our newest, most exciting developments like the new City of Perth Library.
As well, Perth landmarks like the Bell Tower, the State Theatre Centre , His Majesty’s Theatre and QV1 are all throwing open their doors.
And after a hugely popular opening last year the CUT Mine, which provides an invaluable learning tool for students at the Central Institute of Technology, will be opening its doors once again. Who knew there was a mine in the heart of our city?!
As an inner city resident, passionate promoter of Perth and the event’s Foundation Ambassador, I’m extremely proud to say that this year’s Open House Perth is the best yet.
Congratulations to the talented, hard-working organisers and volunteers for making this event so special.
Spread the word among family and friends, prepare an itinerary and make sure you immerse yourself in one of the best weekends of the year.
