177 York Street started life as a joinery workshop, built in the 1960s. In the 1970’s it was redeveloped into three strata titled warehouse and office units. In the late 90s the eastern unit was extensively renovated, and functioned for the next 16 years as an architect’s studio, by and for Considine & Griffiths Architects and then Griffiths Architects.
After Griffiths Architects moved out of the space in 2015 it has been converted to medical consulting rooms by Bos Architects. The facility comprises of a reception and waiting area, offices and treatment rooms, and facilities for staff and patients and is a thoughtful and effective adaption and reuse of the premises that is well worth a look this Open House Perth weekend.
